🏉 Game / Match

Rugby World Cup 2021 (2022). After all the set backs thanks to Covid-19, the 2021 Rugby World Cup is FINALLY hitting down under and it is set to be a stellar tournament. We kick-off with South Africa v France on 8th October.

🎙 Podcast

Unofficial Partner's "Sports business networks and how to build them". Building the network that I have in sport has taken a looooong time. It's as hard as breaking into the industry itself but that's probably why everyone says the people in sport are some of the most supportive, friendly and positive people you'll meet. This podcast gives you loads of tips on how to get there thanks to Laura McQueen, Richard Gillis and Sean Singleton!

🎬 Documentary / Movie

Welcome to Wrexham. The crazy story of Hollywood actors, Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, taking over Welsh football team, Wrexham AFC. It seems crazy to be able to just buy a football team, especially one with fans as fiercely loyal as Wrexham's but Rob and Ryan managed it and the results, are pretty great.

📖 Book

Why We Kneel, How We Rise. Book of the year 2021, Why We Kneel, How We Rise is the incredible novel by Michael Holding, detailing the depths of racism in sport, the history of it and its heavy effect on players, communities and fans. I'd recommend anyone reading it to truly understand so collectively, we can make changes to the systematic problems in the industry we all love so much.

🤝 Social channel

Boardroom. Boardroom brings you all the news and insights that you need to know with specific focus on entertainment, technologies, emerging leagues and industry trends.

🧢 Wear

Patagonia. Unless you've been hiding under a rock, you'll know Patagonia owner, Yvon Chouinard, gave away his sustainability sports clothing brand to fight climate change. Whilst before the sale, the company was donating huge amounts of money to fight Earth's biggest threat, now when you buy their amazing kit, you'll be directly lining the pockets of those fighting it.

💰 Sponsorship

Apple x Superbowl Halftime Show. Apple has been finding its feet in the content world through launching Apple Music, AppleTV and now we have Apple Sports. So it makes a lot of sense that Apple would take on the sponsorship of the Superbowl Halftime Show. It can use its musicians, stream exclusive content on its channel and perhaps even soon enough, broadcast the whole Superbowl. Watch this space I say.

💁‍♀️ Brand move

EA Sports 2023 FIFA. When it rains, it pours and EA Sports has decided to make FIFA 2023 the best yet with the incredible inclusion of the Barclays Women's Super League, bring women into the FIFA game for the first time ever. Oh and the bonus part, Ted Lasso and his AFC Richmond team will be along for the journey too.
